Jordan Cohen is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and has been practicing law since 1982, primarily in the areas of real estate and corporate commercial law. He has extensive experience in the acquisition, financing, leasing and sale of commercial, industrial and residential properties. He has also acted for financial institutions in all aspects of secured lending and enforcement in both the real estate and corporate setting.
Jordan also acts for entrepreneurs and private companies in the establishment, organization and financing of their operations throughout Canada. In particular, he has guided many American corporations in either the acquisition or establishment of Canadian businesses and in working with their local advisors to create appropriate structures and financing arrangement while working with both Canadian and U.S. lenders.
Jordan is active in the bar and the community. He is a member of the Real Property Executive of the Ontario Bar Association and the President of the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Associates of Ben-Gurion University. He is married and has three children and as they’ve almost all fled the nest, he hopes to be able to spend some more spare time playing bridge with a view to once again representing Canada in international competition.
