Ali R. Baniasadi joined Macdonald Sager Manis LLP as a member of the firm’s Corporate / Commercial practice following his call to the Ontario Bar in 2006. Ali graduated from the University of Toronto in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science). He received an LL.B. from the University of British Columbia in 2005. Ali also obtained a Master of Laws degree in Tax from Osgoode Hall in 2009.
Ali's practice focuses on corporate, tax and trademark law. Ali's corporate practice involves creation, dissolution, amalgamation and restructuring of various types of business vehicles, representing lenders and borrowers in various financing projects and sales or acquisitions of established businesses. The tax portion of Ali's practice consists of providing clients with advice on corporate tax planning, business succession planning, estate freezes, corporate restructuring, and advising charitable organizations on various tax issues. Ali is also a trademark agent and has successfully advised clients on various issues surrounding trademark prosecution.
